This Web Map Application contains the Vessel and Ocean\nDisposal Sites Map.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<\/font>

The map includes locations of vessels\nand ocean disposal sites (under a permit) between 2006 and 2017. Data for ocean\ndisposal sites were obtained from CFR (40 CFR 228.15) and reviewed by EPA\nRegional Offices. Vessel disposal data under the MPRSA general permit (40 CFR\n229.3) were obtained from EPA Regional Offices. The vessel disposal data are\nrequired to be reported to EPA Regional Offices when any person uses the Marine\nProtection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act (MPRSA) general permit for the\ntransportation and disposal of vessels. This information is also reported to\nthe International Maritime Organization in the annual United States' Ocean\nDumping Report, which EPA develops with ACE. Methods are accurate to within 1\nmeter<\/span><\/p>\n\n<\/font>
